German Shepherd During WWI, the German Shepherd proved its worth, sniffing out war gas, standing sentry, and helping in search-and-rescue. Archetype of the working dog, the German Shepherd is today the number one breed in the world thanks to its beauty and adaptability.

For this unique dog which is able to be both a marvellous companion and a life-saver, Royal Canin has once again expanded the frontiers of knowledge to meet the digestive, articular and even immunonological requirements of the German Shepherd.

DIGESTION

Enhances maximum digestive safety

Enhances maximum digestive safety due to easily digestible ingredients (hydrolysed soy isolate and poultry proteins, rice and copra oil), the addition of MOS (mannan-oligo-saccharides), insoluble mineral salts and omega 3 fatty acids that protect the digestive mucous membranes and the incorporation of a single source of fermentable fibre - sugar-beet pulp. This fibre is only moderately fermentable and so improves digestive safety.

IMMUNE SYSTEM

Boosts the immune system

Boosts the immune system and acts against oxidative stress (responsible for cellular ageing) due to the combined action of a synergistic compound of antioxidants and MOS which stimulate the immune response by raising the level of antibodies and the production of white blood cells.

SKIN & COAT

Strengthens the skin barrier

Strengthens the skin barrier due to the combination of vitamins and amino acids which increase the synthesis of ceramides (lipids that ensure the cohesion of skin cells).

Nourishes the coat and maintains its natural beauty due to the synergistic action of linoleic acid and zinc which produces a glossy coat and reduces scurf.
(Marsh et al, 2000).

  • German Shepherd 24 Royal Canin pet food ARTHROSIS
  • German Shepherd 24 helps to counteract problems of arthrosis due to the synergistic action of chondroitin sulphate, glucosamine and the addition of EPA-DHA fatty acids (omega 3) taken mainly from fish oil, which give effective protection against inflammatory mechanisms.
